Blue Star have introduced a number of initiatives that are designed to recognise the impact that we have on the environment and ensure that we continue to the lead the way in sustainable business practices, not only within the printing industry, but throughout the general market place. These include but are not limited to the following:
- Among the first printing businesses to use vegetable based inks
- Introduced papers sourced from EMAS accredited mills and carrying the FSC logo
- Introduced new distillation plant for recycling chemical waste
- Continued investment in Press technology reducing paper waste and energy usage.
Blue Star is proud of it’s environmental and sustainability practices and will continue on the journey begun more than eight years ago.
