All solid paper waste is stored in large bins and collected two – three times per week from Blue Stars four business units. This paper waste is then recycled either within NZ or overseas.
Although this is relatively common practice within the Print industry, Blue Star continues to seek ways in which to deliver on its objectives, focussing on RECYCLE – REUSE – REDUCE. In order to achieve these goals, Blue Star is once again leading the way. We continue to invest significantly in new machinery and with the arrival of the next generation press in August 2006, we anticipate being able to further reduce our paper waste.
Blue Star continues to invest in machinery that is tested by the manufacturer using E-Mass accredited papers, ensuring that as a printer we can be confident in delivering:
