More than 8 years ago, business units of Blue Star Print – New Zealand pioneered the use of vegetable based inks in NZ.

Today, the inks used by Blue Star are manufactured using renewable resources. They have no dependancy on mineral oil based product which come from fossil fuels.

They are completely vegetable-oil based, with Canola oil being the primary ingredient. Even the drier content of the inks, which used to be mineral oil based, have now been converted to a vegetable oil based system.
