CASE STUDY: IAG

IAG approached the Blue Star Print Group in late 1999 as a potential partner for the print, storage and distribution of their printed and stocked material. Given that they no longer wished to use their incumbent supplier, the Blue Star Print Group were given a 8 week timeframe to have a full solution in place.

IAG operates under the brands of State Insurance and NZI in the New Zealand market. They operate nation-wide with approximately 250 order points. In addition to the internal users of their products, IAG also required bulk deliveries to their variable imaging/mailing house.

The Following areas were designed and implemented within the timeframe:

Warehousing for IAG owned stock for approximately 500 items
Inventory management system and stocktaking ability
Call Centre - Full time 0800 telephone staff
On Line ordering
On Line reporting and Data maintenance
Single consolidated electronic invoicing.

All areas were implemented within the timeframe and the go live date accommodated.

Blue Star has an excellent record of delivering our printed materials on time to our many locations in NZ and Australia. Their stock control systems and procedures are the best I have seen from any print solutions provider.

The Blue Star team continue to develop new stock management tools to meet our growing needs and we still have regular contact with Glen, now the CEO of Blue Star Print - New Zealand."
