BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW: BSP Logistics

BSP Logistics is the specialist logistics provider for BSPG.

Key functions of the BSP Logistics team are:

  • Supply chain design, implementation and maintenance
  • Procurement
  • Inventory management
  • Product lifecycle management
  • On line implementation and maintenance
  • Storage & Distribution Reporting

With significant major warehousing capability in Auckland (1015 sq m) and Wellington (2791 sq m), a third off-line warehouse in Masterton is also available for long-term bulk storage, if required. In addition to these facilities we also use a number of preferred third party suppliers for local bulk storage and/or disaster recovery purposes.

Our warehouses have been specifically configured to provide logistics services for our print management clients. We have integrated our logistics services with other third party providers, to best meet our clients' needs where appropriate.

Our logistics metrics encompass nationwide delivery via courier with either a 24-hour or 48-hour from receipt of order delivery timeframe.

We maintain a pool of experienced casual staff to supplement our extensive permanent resource for busy periods such as special projects and/or seasonal peaks.

We use several tools to manage our range of logistics services. These include Prism Win, OrderWare and Formstar.

Customers use us for:

  • On line ordering of domiciled and static products
  • Order management
  • Physical inventory management including
    • Minimums and maximums
    • Item restriction rules
    • Distributions
    • Stocktaking
  • Forecasting
  • Reporting - both traditional and on-line

In addition to the use of these tools, Blue Star employs a broadly experienced and well qualified inventory management team, responsible for the dynamic management of the system and all item related triggers, rules, version management and communication with all appropriate parties.
